| Posted: Within the company, a vacancy exists for: CHIEF INSPECTOR As a senior member of the Quality Control team, the role involves: - Coordination of inspection functions across the company including manpower deployment, verification, monitoring and control of project quality control activities to achieve the department's quality objectives. - In charge of QC Inspectors and responsible for maintaining the quality standards of the work carried out in line with international codes and client specified standards. - Act as the main catalyst/facilitator for the department's drive for continual improvement and ensure compliance with project specifications, international construction codes, tenders, work instructions, procedures and manuals as appropriate. - Also be responsible for developing and maintaining a full-fledged NDT section comprising of UT, MPI and PT Technicians, develop NOT procedures and train NDT Technicians for inspections. The successful candidate should be an ASNT Level III qualified in RT, UT and PT along with 10 years inspection experience in a shipyard, the oil & gas industry or related fields. The candidate should be conversant with applicable Destructive Testing and Non-Destructive Testing Techniques, standards and PWHT procedure's. Must have good planning and execution skills, thorough knowledge of steel structures, pipe welding procedures, painting, electrical and mechanical inspection standards.
